Wolfgang Pree GmbH (referred to as Company below) has its headquarters in 5020 Salzburg, Austria; Karl-Roll Street 16, with the company registration number FN247177x. It is a software company that, among other services and activities, develops and provides artificial intelligence (AI) systems with the goal of benefiting all of humanity.

According to the web site Grateful Living, Brother David Steindl-Rast OSB (abbreviation for Order of Saint Benedict; in Latin: Ordo Sancti Benedicti) "is beloved the world over for his enduring message about gratefulness as the true source of lasting happiness." A comprehensive set of his teachings, writings, and recordings, mostly in German, is in an online library called Bibliothek David Steindl-Rast, curated by Klaudia Menzi-Steinberger, and owned by the Via Cordis foundation.

We refer to the Brother David Steindl-Rast OSB Chatbot App as Brother David Bot below. The Brother David Bot is developed and owned by the Company and is provided for use, subject to the following legal framework:

1. Acceptance of Terms: By accessing and using the Brother David Bot, owned and provided by the Company ("Company", "we", "our", or "us"), you agree to these Terms and Policies. If you disagree with any part, please refrain from using the Brother David Bot.
2. Description of Service: The Brother David Bot offers Artificial Intelligence (AI)-generated conversational interactions based on teachings, writings, and recordings of Brother David Steindl-Rast OSB. Responses provided by the Brother David Bot are generated using advanced AI technology, including OpenAI's ChatGPT Application Programming Interface (API) with its associated OpenAI Terms of Use. The AI-generated responses are designed to reflect the spiritual teachings authentically, but are not exact reproductions of original texts. Those versions of the Brother David Bot that feature the voice of Brother David Steindl-Rast OSB do so with his explicit permission.
3. Intellectual Property (IP): All original teachings, writings, and recordings remain the intellectual property of Brother David Steindl-Rast OSB and/or the respective IP owners. The Company used only those teachings, writings, and recordings for which it has explicit permission to utilize these materials for AI training purposes. Klaudia Menzi-Steinberger, curator of the mainly German online library Bibliothek David Steindl-Rast, has helped us to identify those teachings, writings, and recordings for which the permission to utilize these materials for AI training purposes could be obtained. Neither Klaudia Menzi-Steinberger nor the online library Bibliothek David Steindl-Rast are liable for our usage of the provided information or the generated output of the Brother David Bot. The Users acknowledge they have no rights to reproduce or distribute any content from the Brother David Bot for commercial purposes.
4. Branding: The Brother David Bot name, logo, and the Company name are trademarks of the Company and/or Brother David Steindl-Rast OSB. Use of these trademarks without explicit written permission is prohibited. Any authorized use must maintain the integrity, quality, and reputation associated with the trademarks.
5. Limitations and Disclaimer: The Brother David Bot's responses are for educational, spiritual, and informational purposes only and do not constitute professional psychological, medical, legal, or financial advice. Users accept full responsibility for actions taken based on interactions with the Brother David Bot. The Company, Brother David Steindl-Rast OSB, and the online libraries or platforms providing the texts and resources utilized for training the Brother David Bot are not liable for any damages, losses, or negative effects resulting from reliance on the Brother David Bot's content.
6. Ethical Guardrails: We have implemented ethical guardrails to ensure that the Brother David Bot behaves respectfully, compassionately, and in alignment with Brother David Steindl-Rast's principles and teachings. However, users understand that AI-generated responses may occasionally deviate unintentionally from these guidelines.
7. Guidelines for Sharing Chats: Users may share excerpts from their conversations with the Brother David Bot—no matter whether this is done with a feature offered in some versions of the Brother David Bot or otherwise—solely for personal, non-commercial purposes, provided proper attribution is given to the Brother David Bot and the Company. Users must not alter the content of shared excerpts to misrepresent or distort the original meaning of the Brother David Bot's answers. Sharing full conversation logs publicly or commercially requires explicit permission from the Company.
8. Privacy Policy: We respect your privacy. The Brother David Bot does not collect personally identifiable information beyond what is necessary to improve interaction quality. Any collected data is securely stored, and will never be shared, sold, or otherwise distributed to third parties without explicit consent, except as required by law. Additionally, you can delete your account and with it all related data at any time.
9. Modification of Terms: We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Policies at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via the app. Continued use of the Brother David Bot following changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Termination: We may terminate or suspend access to the Brother David Bot immediately, without prior notice or liability, if users violate these Terms and Policies.
11. Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Austria, without regard to conflicts of law principles. Users agree that disputes related to the Brother David Bot will be resolved under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the city of Salzburg, Austria, or Vienna, Austria.
